This fast-paced comedy originally written by Aristophanes has been updated by American playwright Ellen McLaughlin. The play follows Lysistrata, an Athenian housewife, who calls for the women of Greece to help end the 30 year Peloponnesian War. She proposes a radical plan: all Greek women must refuse their husbands until the men put down their weapons and promise to live in peace.
