Bartlett Plaza, AUC New Cairo
Event Type

The “Desert Knights” Performing Troupe is a non-profit group of artists with disabilities who reach out to the world through performing arts. Their performances bridge cultural gaps between countries around the world and bring together artists to common grounds, using the universal language of 'performing arts'.

The “Desert Knights” troupe originally consisted of young male performers enrolled at the Help Center. They were trained by some of the most famous folklore dancers in Saudi Arabia. Today, the troupe includes male and female freelance performers with disabilities. Their traditional shows have evolved and are now complemented with contemporary tunes and rhythmic movements – embedded in theatrical acts and sketches.

The “Desert Knights” Performing Troupe was established in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 2003, and since then has entertained audiences in Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the United States and Kuwait.

Maha Juffali, director and supervising trustee of the Help Center, will give a presentation on the center's work prior to the performance.
